Paternity scandal: Adam Nuru’s job on the line as FCMB issues strong statement

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has issued a statement on a scandal involving its Managing Director Adam Nuru

The story surrounding an FCMB Managing Director and the wife of late Tunde Thomas is conflicting. Many versions now exist.

Social media was thrown into a frenzy in the buildup to the new year as one Tunde Badmus whose wife was a former staff of the bank reportedly died of suicide in December 2020.

It was also alleged by another version of the story that he had a heart attack.

The entire scenario surrounding Tunde Badmus’s death was linked to an alleged affair between the Managing Director of FCMB, Adam Nuru and Tunde’s wife who was a staff at the bank.

Did Adam Nuru’s alleged affair caused Tunde Badmus’s death?

The alleged-affair resulted was said to have resulted two children that were living with Mr. Tunde Thomas before 2017. His wife had reportedly told him that the two kids belonged to her boss the Adam Nuru and that caused him a heart attack.

But this story begs the question on why Tunde Thomas had a heart attack almost three years after and even had another relationship with a pregnant girlfriend?

Also, there are other sources that claim that no such illicit affair ever took place between Tunde Badmu’s wife and Adam Nuru. These sources are reported by alleged friends of the late Tunde Badmus and they consider the controversy as a disrespect to his memory.

He reportedly kept close contact with his two kids even when his estranged wife relocated overseas with them. They agree with the “heart attack” version of the story because he had survived a stroke some years before his death. It is argued that his health condition is unconnected with the alleged affair.

The controversy in the story and how it can impact the bank’s image led to the issuance of a public statement on Saturday, January 2, 2021.

FCMB promised a thorough investigation into the allegations and it vowed to take disciplinary actions if anyone is found to have violated the bank’s ethics irrespective of position. This places Adam Nuru’s job on the line.

Until the result of their findings are published to members of the public the matter may remain a very contentious one and it can affect the bank’s image negatively at a period when other brands are projecting their brand positively.
