Domestic Violence: Nigerian Lady Calls off Wedding 3 Days Before

• A Nigerian lady that goes by the name “Ada Uburu” on Facebook, has announced that she has called off her wedding, only 3 days before the event

• Miss Uburu claims that the traditional and white weddings which were slated for Saturday, April 16, have both been canceled

• She revealed that she had been a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her fiance and also sustained head injuries from the man

In a dramatic U-turn, a Nigerian lady has shocked friends and family by calling off her wedding only 3 days before the event.

The lady who goes by the name “Ada Uburu” revealed the decision was taken due to domestic violence that she suffered at the hands of her fiance.

According to Miss Uburu, she and former secondary school classmate, David Okeke had scheduled their traditional and white weddings for Saturday, April 16, before they were canceled.

This comes after the couple had done the “1st and 2nd stage” of the marriage on December 28, 2020. Ada claims that David changed suddenly after paying her bride price and started maltreating her.

She disclosed that since she and her husband had been living together, he had taken to hitting her at the slightest provocation.

The lady also revealed that she was currently nursing a head injury that was caused by her fiance 3 weeks ago.

Miss Uburu, who has promised to return the bride price paid by her fiance, pleaded with family and friends to forgive her for the inconvenience.

This news comes after gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu passed away as a result of alleged domestic violence at the hands of her husband.
