BREAKING: Captured pastor gets freedom from Boko Haram

Rev Polycarp Zango, a pastor with Jos based Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Plateau State has been freed from the captivity of Boko Haram.

The pastor, was repeatedly abducted by the terrorist organisation largely based in the North East of Nigeria on October 19. Rev Zango was embarking on a journey to a Ministers’ conference in Gombe, the Gombe State capital.

Boko Haram had earlier released a video footage that showed the COCIN pastor in their custody.

According to Vanguard on Saturday morning, the Vice-Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (Northern region), Rev. John Hayab, said Zango regained his freedom on Friday night.

“We have good news! Rev. Zango has been released from Boko Haram custody. It is celebration galore in the Church right now,” he said.
