Armed bandits attacked a community in Gurmana ward in Shiroro local government area of Niger state on Saturday evening.
Reports indicate that over 15 people died by drowning in a river while trying to escape.
According to an undisclosed source for The nation, people tried to escape from the bandits by running into River Kaduna.
