I have tried to understand what went wrong with the marriage between, Nigerian screen goddess Lilian Esoro & Ubi Franklin, Triple MG boss that lasted for barely a year before the whole drama on social media platforms. Lilian Esoro deleted her husband’s photos and wedding photos after days of removing his name from her instagram page and unfollowing him on all social media platforms. No doubt this is confirming the rumors that the marriage between the two is over.
Reports on the web on Wednesday claimed their wedding packed up 4 months ago, immediately their son Jayden was born. Infidelity and physical abuse are cited as some of the reasons they are apart.
Words on the street say Lilian wanted to marry another Nollywood actor who is now married, but opted for Ubi – who was a backup plan from the start. Their marriage is said to be loveless from the get go. Entertainment commentators say Lilian Esoro said no when Ubi Franklin initially proposed but he did all he can to convince her including her family as he was overly generous to them.
MY OPINION
Its sad how marriages no longer last and to think that we put in so much into the wedding only to give up on it at the slightest hint of a glitch here and there.
I’d rather think lovers should put in more time into knowing what they can and can’t put up with in courtship and give no room to accommodate excesses that they know deep down in their hearts they wouldnt cope with.
Your intuitive self will never lie to u once it gives u a prompting but then we rather go blindly into it with the deceptive sayings that I often hear, “no one is perfect or the devil u know is better than the angel u don’t know”
FIRST THINGS FIRST
It is high time we set our priorities right in courtship.. Get to know this person first and leave sex out of it for a moment or two. Sex often, all the time beclouds your sense of reasoning!
It will make u love the silliest things in courtship that has the potency of destroying your happiness in marriage if not addressed on time!
Its high time we choose right for the sake of our unborn kids that would bear the brunt of our own mistakes!
Enough of excuses, broken marriages and divorce cases.
