Iyanya Cooking Something Hot With Mavin Records
So last year, Iyanya was all over the news. Recall that he moved from Made Men Records to Mavin Records which created a lot of controversy, celebrated his birthday, did “Up To Something” with Donjazzy and Dr. Sid, talked about marriage, he did another song “Yoga” with Victoria Kimani. So Iyanya cooking something hot with Mavin Records is not going to be just a tale.
Let me go off a little; that Iyanya’s body though, makes me feel something in my stomach, I mean, which woman wouldn’t. Damn, the guy is all shades of hot.
Despite all the good thing that happened with Iyanya in 2016, I believed at some point he had a tough decision to make, especially deciding to move to Mavin Record. *I would be scared to death* Leaving the known to the unknown, having speculations on whether or not it would work. And most of all, trying so hard not to hurt your old buddies.
It is hard enough that he had to part ways with people he had known a long time, people that had become family to join a new gang. I am really hoping that this doesn’t strain his relationship with one time partner, Ubi Franklin.
Since the beginning of the year, Iyanya and his new crew has being pretty silent. And when people are silent they are either planning something big or doing nothing. With Iyanya and Mavin Record, I believe it is something big.
Since winning the first edition of project fame West Africa, the 30yrs old artist keeps revealing great sides of his music prowess to us. I am really rooting for Iyanya. I sincerely hope that his decision to join Mavin Records will result to something unimaginably big.
And to those saying that he is ‘big’ enough to have his own record label, please shut up. It is only in Naija that all musicians want to have their record label. I tire for people sha ooo.
