The Nigerian Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disasters management, and Social Development Hajia Sadiya Farouq has reportedly tied the knot with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
Reports of the secret wedding first broke on Sahara reporters on 23 September 2020 who claimed that they have both been dating for over a year.
Recall that there was controversy in 2019 after photos of an alleged wedding between Sadiya Farouq and President Buhari surfaced. The man behind the photos was apprehended but the impact of the confusion it created made the two lovers delay plans of their marriage.
Hajia Sadiya Farouq will be 45 years old in November and she has never been married until now. She was appointed into President Buhari’s government in 2019 as the minister for humanitarian and disaster management.
While reports of her marriage to President Buhari turned out to be false in 2019, there has been no rebuttal of the reports of her marriage to Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
The secret wedding was held at an undisclosed location in Abuja recently but no photos of the wedding have been published.
