Maduadwu recently alleged that over 40 percent of Nigerian lawmakers are Gay. He didn’t stop there, he went on to claim that at least 12 Nigerian Governors are gay.
He made these claims in an open letter to recently inaugurated President of the United States, Joe Biden.
The actor made a plea to Joe Biden to put pressure on the Nigerian government to remove the anti-gay law.
Nigeria has zero-tolerance for homosexuality after former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan signed anti-gay law in 2014.
The law forbids all forms of homosexual relationships in the country. It also states that anyone who goes against the legislation stands to face a jail term of 14 years.
Uche Maduagwu also criticized the government, stating that it has failed to handle killings and kidnapping by Fulani herdsmen.
