President Buhari opened the cage to let the birds out but they all refused to fly, even after being thrown up.

In an article that was published after the ceremony, Adesina has described the birds’ behavior as a natural phenomenon.

He explained that the birds were kept in a cage for too long and had become accustomed to the environment.

He went further to state that the birds probably thought that freedom was too good to be true.
