Yuga Labs, the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) non-fungible token collection, has teased the release of its own Metaverse called the “Otherside”.
The tech company released a short trailer on Saturday, revealing that the Otherside Metaverse will be launched by April.
The teaser video opens with Bored Ape Yacht Club Ape fishing from a water body. He then feels a tug on his fishing rod, pulls out his catch and sees a bottle labelled “Drink me”.
Asides from a BAYC nft, the video goes on to reference other NFT collections including Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Cool Cats, CryptoPunks, CrypToadz, and Meebits.
At this moment, there aren’t many details on what Otherside Metaverse will be like or what it has to offer. It however adds to the hype that Luga labs has generated over the past week.
The Metaverse news comes less than a week after the company announced the launch of its cryptocurrency token, ApeCoin.
Apecoin became instantly available on multiple exchanges, including Binance. At the time of this report, the token is trading at $10.13, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
