The trademark indicates that the company intends to offer virtual goods, services, virtual restaurants, and cafes, following a trend of other major corporations.

The company’s trademark request was first made by Josh Gerben, a trademark lawyer as he posted it on Twitter on Wednesday.

In addition to the services that the food company plans to offer in the metaverse it also aims to trademark “on-line actual and virtual concerts” and other entertainment services within its virtual McCafe.

The trademark requests were made to protect the idea of a metaverse restaurant that can sell both virtual and real-life food.

This idea will allow people to order real-life food from the virtual restaurant, without having to put down their headset.

Gerben claims that the US Patent and Trademark Office is likely to approve the trademarks, although the entire review process might run over 9 months.
