
Police Arrest Mr Macaroni At Lekki Tollgate, Seize Protesters’ Phones
-Police have arrested popular comedian, Mr Macaroni at Lekki Tollgate
-Phones of Protesters were seized to prevent them from recording the peaceful protest
-People are gathered at the Tollgate to protest against the reopening of the tollgate after Lekki Massacre
The Police has arrested comedian, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni.
The comedian was at Lekki tollgate to join protesters to express their discontent with the decision of the Tollgate Judicial panel.

The Judicial panel voted in support of reopening the tollgate even though justice hasn’t been served for the tollgate massacre last year.

In a live stream on the comedian’s Instagram page, he raised an alarm saying “Lekki is under military rule”.

The comedian aired his opinion, saying that it is a disrespect to decide to open the tollgate when justice had not been served.
At the time of this report, about 23 protesters had been arrested and carried in the police van.

You would recall that the Commissioner for Police stated that protest was banned at Lekki and other areas of the state.
