Rapper, Kanye is now the richest black man in the United States of America as his net worth reached $6.6 billion, according to Forbes.
The 43-year-old has experienced a significant increase compared to what was reported in April 2020.
Kanye’s wealth has been driven by his designer business, Yeezy which is in partnership with Adidas. The business is valued between $3.2 billion and $4.7 billion.
The latest collection “new Gap” which is set to be released in the summer, could be worth up to $970 million.
The Grammy-winning rapper also has $122 million in cash and stock and another $110 million from his music.
West has autonomous creative control over his Yeezy brand and he signed a 10-year agreement to produce clothes last year.

With his Yeezy Gap agreement, Kanye will design clothing items for men, women, and kids.
Back in 2020, Forbes stated that the rapper was worth $1.3 billion but Kanye disputed that claiming that he was worth $3.3 billion, adding that “no one in Forbes knows how to count”.
