More than 6 people died at an Amazon warehouse in Edwardsville, Illinois on December 10 after an EF3 tornado swept through the area.
Edwardsville Fire Chief James Whiteford reported that the victims died due to severe damage caused to the building that trapped people inside.
He also reported that 45 people survived the deadly incident and are now focused on recovery.
According to the National Weather Service of the United States, the most severe impact of the 250 km/h was witnessed northeast of Pontoon Beach at the warehouse.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos expressed shock over the incident saying the company was heartbroken over the loss of its teammates.

Bezos added that the organization is now committed to supporting the area through the crisis.
This however did not stop people from slamming the billionaire on social media for celebrating the return of his latest Blue Origin space crew.
