Wyss claims that the Russian billionaire is asking for “too much” as the club owes him $2 billion but has no money
For the first time since acquiring the club in 2003, Roman Abramovich is listing Chelsea for sale. Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss disclosed on Wednesday that he has been offered the chance to buy the English football giant.
This is coming after football reporter, Matt Law stated on Tuesday that the Russian billionaire is looking to sell all his properties in the UK, including Chelsea football club.
According to SkySports, the 55-year-old is understood to want to keep ownership of Chelsea but there are fears that this could prove to be impossible if the UK Government imposes a sanction on him as stiff penalties continue to hit Russia’s economy and businesses.
Wyss told Swiss newspaper, Blick:
“Abramovich is trying to sell all his villas in England and he also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly,”

Wyss claims that he and 3 others have received an offer from Abramovich to buy Chelsea but he is currently asking for too much as the club owes him a debt.
