A woman from Louisville has lost $13,000 after falling for a Bitcoin scam on Instagram.
Ticole Holt believed that he was speaking to a friend on Instagram and she followed instructions which we believed to be true.
She later learned that her friend’s account was fake but by then it was too late.
According to Holt, she was sent a website link where she logged in watched them trade with her money.
The hackers made it look very real by making her see her investments increase. She believed that she had made more than $99,000 in 3 hours.
The hackers asked her to make a video and encourage her followers to invest but before she was done, her account had been wiped.

Holt also lost access to her Instagram account which the hackers have now taken control of.
Bitcoin scams have been a rampant occurrence since the resurgence of crypto last year.
