After a successful wager on the Super Bowl LVI, that won him $381,000 in February, music superstar, Drake has placed another risky bet but this did not turn out well.
The Canadian rapper lost roughly $275,000 in Bitcoin after placing a bet on the UFC match between martial artists Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington.
The artist tipped Masvidal to defeat Covington at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas but the latter won the grudge match by unanimous decision after dominating the entire round. If Drake had won this audacious bet, he would have walked away with more than $700,000.
Going into the fight, Masvidal was tagged the underdog but Drake went in support of him pulling off a shock result against his opponent.
Recently many celebrities have been displaying strong interest in Bitcoin for various reasons and the “Hotline Bling” crooner is the latest. This comes only one month after rapper Kodak Black disclosed that he had received a $250,000 Bitcoin gift from Drake.
