Music Star Drake Makes $1.3 Million Bitcoin Bet on Super Bowl

  • The “Hotline Bling” singer placed a $471,000 bet on the Rams to win and $392,000 on Odell Beckham having more than 62.5 receiving yards
  • If Drake wins each of his bets, he stands to receive $2.29 million worth of BTC

Canadian rapper Drake is taking a risk with Bitcoin but not in the way that you would have imagined.

The Award-winning star has staked a series of wagers totaling $1.3 million in BTC on Thursday.

The Grammy-winning artist is betting on the Rams to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in the upcoming Superbowl much and staked $471,000 on the game.

In addition to that, he displayed his belief in Ram’s wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. by staking another $392,000 on him having more than 62.5 receiving yards.

Another $392,000 was staked on the wide receiver having 0.5 any touchdowns in the game.

After Drake posted his bet slip on Instagram, Beckham Jr. replied to the post, saying “it’s time”.

The musician made all the bets through “Stake”, a sports betting platform that allows users to place bets using crypto.

The artist’s shocking Bitcoin bet comes a few months after Beckham Jr. partnered with Cash App to reveal that he’ll be accepting his NFL salary in Bitcoin.
