Cryptocurrency Mining: 14-year-old Makes N77 Million From Bitcoin

• A 14-year-old boy Ishaan Thakur, and his 9-year-old sister have made nearly $160,000 (N77m) from Cryptocurrency mining

• The siblings who live in Frisco, Texas process between 15 to 16 billion ether algorithms every second

• Their mining operations have since been moved outside their house to a data center in Dallas, Texas

Since April, Ishaan Thakur, a 14-year-old boy, and Aanya his 9-year-old sister have made nearly $160,000 from cryptocurrency mining.

Although the siblings made only $3 on their first day of mining, the operation has since grown significantly and in October alone they raked in $64,000.

Their small operation which began in their house has since grown into a business which they call Flifer Technologies.

Ishan stated that their computers have been programmed to switch to mining the most profitable coin at any moment so that their profit can be maximized.

He added that Ether a the coin that they mine the most followed by Bitcoin and Ravecoin.

The siblings who live in Frisco, Texas with their parents can process up to 16 billion algorithms each second.

According to Isham, even though he and his sister are making a lot of money, that wasn’t their focus when they started.

“Even though we are now making a lot of money, we are just as proud now as we were when we only made $3 per day, since our main prize is not the money,” Ishaan says. “My favorite part about our experience is that we learned about a new technology.”

Most of the money being made so far is being reinvested into their cryptocurrency mining business and saved for their college.

The smart youngsters first started to mine after learning via YouTube videos and other resources on the Internet.

Their business was also aided by their father Manish Raj, a former investment banker who took out a loan from the bank.

Ishaan and Aanya’s parents, teachers, and friends have been impressed with their achievements and the siblings have announced plans to release their cryptocurrency- Flifercoin, later this year.
