Email, who allegedly trades in the sale of Indian hemp as well as being a heavy smoker himself was in the company of his friends around his residence on Nelson Mandela Street, Calabar.
Narrating the story, the younger brother to the lady admitted that his sister, Blessing, was a friend to the deceased. On the day of the incident, Blessing was passing by the compound where Email and his friend had converged that morning drinking native concoction allegedly prepared to prevent the penetration of bullet.
The charm had proven effective when others tested it but at the turn of the deceased, he chose his girlfriend to pull the trigger on him as he was sure the charm would protect him like it did others.

His friends, angered by the result, took it up on Blessing as she was gravely assaulted with deep wounds inflicted on her from hitting her with sticks and machete. The police moved in soon enough, took the lady to the hospital and thereafter deposited the deceased in the morgue.
