Nigeria has attained a new milestone in its COVID 19 vaccination exercise. This is as the National Primary Healthcare Agency (NPHCDA) announced that 32 million people have been vaccinated against COVID 19.

In its latest report that was released on Sunday, April 3, the NPHCDA disclosed that no fewer than 32 million people have received at least one dose of the COVID 19 vaccine.

So far, the vaccines that have been distributed and used across the country are the Oxford/AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson brands.

The report states that 19,357,049 people have been partially vaccinated, while 12,831,601 people have taken the complete dose of the vaccine.

Breaking down how well the vaccination exercise had gone, the NPHCDA revealed that Nasarawa’s vaccination exercise was the most successful.

As of March 11, 78% of the state’s population had been jabbed once, while 50% had received a full dose of the COVID 19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, the agency has urged everyone who has already received the first dose of the vaccine to return to their vaccination sites for the second jab. It however warned that people should be cautious of the interval between the two doses and the booster shots.
