An Amazon delivery driver was overwhelmed after becoming the state’s latest resident to win $1 million.

The driver, Jonathan Carlyle won the state’s Vax-A-Million lottery, which is part of an initiative to encourage people to receive the vaccine.


The Ohio Vax-A-Million is a lottery that is held weekly to reward Ohioans who have received at least one dose of the COVID 19 vaccine.


Participants can win $1 million and minors whos win will be a full scholarship to any of the public universities in Ohio.

The programme is aimed at encouraging more Ohioans to get vaccinated.

Jonathan was shocked when he saw a missed call from the governor of Ohio and he called back to find out that he was a winner.

He revealed that his first goal will be to pay all outstanding bills as he struggled to hold back his joy.

Jonathan wasn’t the only winner this week, with Zoie Vincent winning a four-year scholarship to the university.

Other Ohio COVID 19 Vax-A-Million winners are 22-year-old Abbey Bugenske and 24-year-old Joseph Costello.

With only, 3 editions of the draw left, 3.2 million have entered the draw to win the ultimate price.
