Legendary rapper Eminem has joined the exclusive community of bored apes by purchasing one of the NFTs for 123.45 ETH.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs witnessed a great breakthrough this year with more than $1 billion recorded in revenue.

The Detroit music star spent $452,000 to secure the NFT and then used it as his social media bio picture on Twitter.

The pricy digital image dubbed “EmiApe” features an Ape wearing a hat similar to the signature Eminem one.

The Ape which can also be seen wearing a gold chain was created by user Grandpa Ape Yacht Club.

Announcing the sake of his NFT to Marshall Mathers, the creator posted

“I’m living in a simulation, Thank you @Eminem for buying my ape and joining the club!”

Dappradar.com metrics has reported that Eminem owns 166 non-fungible tokens (NFT) assets gathered across 32 collections.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club is a collection of 10000 unique Bored Ape NFTs. The official website advertises it as a “limited NFT collection“.

Purchasing one of the NFTs automatically grants the buyer membership to a swamp club of apes.
