Although our Nigerian mothers can be strict, they are also caring which is why we love them so much.

1. When you tell your Nigerian mother “Mummy, I have headache” and she says it’s cause you’ve been pressing your phone all day.

2. When you finish second in school and come back expecting to be praised but instead she says “Does the person that came first have two heads?”.
3. If she has taken the remote to work just to punish you, she’s a Nigerian mom.
4. When you tell your mother you’re going to your friend’s place and she asks “why can’t your friend come to your own house?”.
