This policy is part of an updated code of conduct that will help the UK meet its target of delivering 50,000 more nurses by 2024.

The medical policy will affect 47 countries, most of them in Africa.

Some of the affected countries include Benin, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Ghana, Congo, and Madagascar.

Some of the countries affected outside Africa are Yemen, Nepal, and Haiti.

The new policy is on the back of recommendations from the World Health Organization.

UK recruiters are not allowed to recruit Nigerian Doctors or doctors of any of the other 47 countries except there is an agreement between both governments.
