
Lagos Commissioner of Police Shuts down 11 Nightclubs And Sanctions DPO For Allowing Clubbing
-The Lagos state government has shut down 11 nightclubs over the weekend for breaking COVID protocols
-Lagos commissioner of Police also sanctioned the DPO and Senior officers Ajao Estate Division for allowing nightclubbing
-41 Clubbers were also arrested from the clubs that were shut down
The Lagos state government has shown yet again that it has Zero tolerance for people breaking COVID-19 protocols in the state.
During the weekend, the police arrested 41 clubbers and shut down 11 facilities that went against COVID directives.


This decision follows information that a large number of people gathered at those facilities.
The news was disclosed by Mr. Lanre Mojola, the Director-General of the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSC) following the sealing of the building.
Mr. Mojola however said that the affected buildings informed the LSC of their decision but failed to comply with protocols.

Lagos Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu also redeployed the DPO of Ajao Estate Division and some senior officers for allowing clubbing at Garbana Club on Sunday, 7th March.

The officers have been transferred to another location which was not disclosed.
The Lagos state government has been firmly enforcing COVID-19 protocols, which has resulted in many arrests in the past few weeks.
