– A keke driver killed by policeman over N100 bribe disagreement in Porthacourt
– The policeman said “I will kill you and nothing will happen” and he shot him dead.
– Nigerian youths took to the street of Port Harcourt to protest against the killing of the keke rider.
It is really disheartening to note that the law enforcement who are supposed to serve and protect us are the very ones killing innocent citizens.
Have we gotten to that point where we have trigger happy policemen who are delighted to release their bullets at the slightest opportunity even for a ridiculous excuse such as refusal to pay a bribe. Where are we really headed to?
Early this morning, the young keke driver resumed work like every other day not knowing that it was his last day on earth. He was stopped by a policeman who requested for a bribe of 100 naira before he could let him go.
The keke man refused to pay the bribe and the policeman threatened him with the statement ” I will kill you and nothing will happen” and before anyone could say anything else, he shot him dead.
Danky a Twitter user tweeted;

The youths tried to carry his body to the rumuokuro police station on their arrival but the police men started shooting sporadically and many sustained injury.
The youths of Port Harcourt have taken to the streets to protest against the unlawful killing of the keke driver and this seems like a second wave of the #EndSARS protest is coming back again.
Meanwhile, we also reported that A yet-to-be identified woman has left her baby behind in a commercial vehicle in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
