Beautiful and handsome people, welcome back to the Naija.fm Nigerian cultural statement holiday special, I believe we are all excited about the season?
Well, it’s still Christmas season and today I would be talking about attitudes of Nigerians towards Christmas Carol. Tomorrow is Carol in my church and it’s funny how the very first thing people ask when I invite them for the Carol program is food. Like, Naija people too like food abeg. Kikode??!
Come to church, let’s sing songs to christ and enjoy it like the western people do, na lie! Naija people must eat ni sha. LOL.
Basically, christmas carol in Western countries is a gathering where people sing Christmas songs in celebration of the season. So, it’s always performance upon performance back to back and repeat. But then, you invite people to carol here in Nigeria and the very first question they ask is “Chow dey?“ and I just can’t unbother my bother.
Today’s gist is an interactive one, I would like to hear your carol invitation experience. Have you ever invited anyone to carol in your church? What was their reaction like? What was yours like afterwards?
Let’s talk it out right now, right here on the Nigerian Cultural Statement on Naija.fm. Your comments are so very welcomed. And, do not forget to stay beautiful and handsome til the next time I bring you another discourse on the attitudes and lifestyles of our fellow Naija people.
Also, do not forget to smile, for free. Remember, it’s the season to spread love and be shown love right back. You need to see me sending out love and lights from here.
Meanwhile, in our previous holiday special, we reported that the first place you want to visit in Ibadan is The Robert Lister Bower’s Tower. The tower is located at the Oke-Are in Ìbàdàn.
