A street hawker was recently killed at the ongoing Yoruba nation rally in Lagos.
The young girl was killed after the Lagos state police fire live rounds at protesters who demanded an independent nation for the Yoruba people.
The incident happened at Ojota Lagos where teargas and gunshots were being used to disperse the gathered crowd.
Reports claim that the deceased was only 14 years old and she was sitting in her trading shop when the stray bullet hit her.
The protest reportedly started peacefully with the gathered crowd singing, dancing, and chanting until the police came to disperse them.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police Hakeem Dosunmu had previously warned organisers of the rally that protest will not be allowed in Lagos state.
Despite protest being a basic right of every citizen, the CP maintained that the state was going to result in the breakdown of law and order.
The Yoruba nation rally which was organised by activist Sunday Igboho demands an independent nation for the Yoruba people in Nigeria.
