Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has argued that Nigeria is worth fighting for. Osinbajo and his principal President Buhari came to power in 2015 on a change mantra. Their victory was flawless, leading to the exit of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Admits insecurity, the threat of division, and tribal sentiments, Osinbajo thinks that Nigeria is worth fighting for. Like President Buhari, he believes that the All Progressives Congress has struggled to keep the dream of Nigeria founding fathers alive despite challenges.
In his address to members of Nasur-Lahi-L-Faith Society (NASFAT) on the occasion of Nigeria’s 60th Independence anniversary, he maintained that Nigeria is worth fighting for.
The group promotes Islamic based ideals and they support charitable courses too. Also, the Vice president’s statement was food for thought for Nigerians especially youths who consist of the majority of his social media followers were touched by it.
The thought of fighting for a country that has denied them the good things and opportunities that most modern societies have is food for thought.
However, youths that still dream of a brighter Nigeria will not take his words with a pinch of salt. They still celebrate Nigeria at 60th despite challenges.
