The Vice President of Nigeria Professor Yemi Osinbajo test drove Nigeria’s first locally produced electric vehicle, Hyundai Kona on Tuesday.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the vehicle was taken for a ride by Osinbajo during an exhibition tour of products made in Nigeria.
The event was organized by the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Nigeria @ 60 and it was held at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
Following his drive, the vice president had nothing but praise for the makers of the vehicle.
Yemi Osinbajo stated that he was glad to see an electric vehicle that was assembled in Nigeria, adding that it was a fantastic vehicle.

In attendance was the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and he hailed the producers of the electric car.
Mr Mustapha encouraged Nigerians to use Made-In-Nigeria products to help increase the GDP of the country.
He also added that the use of locally assembled products will result in more job opportunities for Nigerians.
The electric vehicle was produced by Stallion Motors and launched in November 2020 by Babajide Sanwo Olu, the Governor of Lagos state.
