Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari is set to leave the country on an official visit to France.

The president will be attending the African Summit being hosted by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

According to the Spoke Person to the President, Garba Shehu, the talk summit will focus on reviewing the African economy and dealing with the aftermath of the Coronavirus pandemic.

During the meeting, the growing threat in the Sahel and a health partnership will also be discussed.

Both countries will also work together to develop a strategy to stop COVID-19 and develop a vaccine.

Before returning to Nigeria, President Buhari will receive some players in the oil and gas and telecommunications sector.

Alongside Nigeria’s president, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, and Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed will be present at the summit.

Nigerian Ministers

The National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Mohammed Monguno and Director General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar will also go on this trip.
