NYSC To Shut Down Camps That Ignore Covid-19 Protocols

-FG will be shutting down NYSC camps that fail to comply with Covid-19 guidelines

-The Minister of Youths and sport revealed this while speaking at a Presidential Taskforce

-This news comes after 13 NYSC members tested positive for the virus in Cross River State.

The Nigerian Government will shutdown NYSC camps in states where the guidelines are not being properly enforced to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

Sunday Dare, the Minister for Youths and Sports made this announcement while speaking at the Presidential taskforce on Monday.

The minister revealed that the government was worried about the number of corps members that have been infected with the virus.

He added that the government does not want to put the lives of corps members at risk.

Mr. Dare also stated that if a camp is shut down, corps members will be reposted to other states.

This is coming after it was announced that 13 corps members tested positive for Covid-19 in Cross River State.

It is believed that the corp members recently moved in from other states.
