15 Million Nigerians Are Hooked On Hard Drugs – NDLEA

There are 15 million hard drug users in Nigeria according to The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA

Buba Marwa, the newly appointment chairman of the agency disclosed this on Monday in Abuja.

The retired limitary general also warned drug peddlers to quit or face the wrath if the law

 

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has projected the number of narcotic drug users in Nigeria at 15 million.

Brig-Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), the newly appointed chairman of NDLEA made this known in Abuja on Monday.

He said that drug use has eaten very deep into the nation’s social fabric stressing that over 15 million Nigerians across all ages hooked on drugs.

He added that it is the task of agency to halt all this unacceptable addictions to drug abuse in Nigeria.

Marwa also warned barons and traffickers to quit the illicit trade or face the wrath of the law.

Meanwhile, we reported earlier that the Nigerian government has directed all telecommunication operators to deregister all SIM cards that are not synchronized with the National Identity Number (NIN) by December 30th 2020.
