A magistrate fell and passed out while protesting over unpaid salary in Cross Rivers State on Tuesday.
According to report, the magistrates are being owed by the state government for over 24 months.

An Akwa Ibom based magistrate, Richard Bassey, reportedly collapsed on Tuesday at the gate of the Governor Ben Ayade’s office on the second day of the protest over unpaid twenty-four months salary.
Luckily, He was immediately revived by his colleagues who later took him to a nearby hospital in Calabar.
The protest which started on Monday , January 4, 2021 entered it second day today, Tuesday. This time however, the magistrates were in their full judicial outfit with various placards.
Solomon Abuo, speaking for the protest protesters said despite their public display of disaffection, the state government is yet to address them.
According to him, the government has for the past two years repeatedly refused to take concrete measure to remit their remuneration. Solomon vowed that the judicial workers would keep protesting until the Ben Ayade led government respond to them.
Meanwhile, we reported earlier that the Nigerian government has directed all telecommunication operators to deregister all SIM cards that are not synchronized with the National Identity Number (NIN) by December 30th 2020.
