
Lagos Govt Shuts Down Chrisland School Following Rape Allegations

Reports gathered show that the incident happened during a game of “truth or dare” during students’ visit to Dubai in March
Lagos State Government announced on Monday that its attention had been drawn to a sexual allegation involving minor students of Chrisland school. The news which has taken over social media alleges that the school tried to cover up an explicit tape of s*xual activities that involved its students.
It was discovered that the female student participated in a “truth or dare” game in Dubai, alongside male schoolmates. The incident happened while involved students and their schoolmates were representing the school in the World School Games between March 10 and 13, 2022.
In a statement that was released by the Lagos State Government, it disclosed that the allegations were being investigated by relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Justice.

The government also revealed that the criminal allegations have been escalated to the Commissioner of Police. The statement was also used to assure members of the public of the government’s commitment to safety and child protection.
Meanwhile, the government has warned the general public that anyone found to be “producing, distributing, receiving, or possessing an image of child pornography” stands to face 14 years in jail.
