
Nigeria DJ Obianuju Catherine Udeh popularly known as DJ Switch have been said to be outside Nigeria due to her being an eye witness to the incident at the Lekki Toll Gate where where soldiers shot at peaceful #endsars protesters,
On 20 October 2020, DJ switch live streamed the aftermath of the Lekki Massacre. In the video, they attempted to remove a bullet from the leg of a man who was shot, tying a Nigerian flag around his leg.
DJ Switch she said in one of her Instagram post that “she had to abandon her home” because she’s an eye witness to the horrible incident that happened at the Lekki tollgate.
She’s been said to be in Canada as she’s been given asylum and she testifies before the Canadian Parliament.
Switch was signed by Peter Okoye of former P-Square to become his DJ after she won the Glo X-Factor in 2013
In an interview with Peter Okoye’s Pa
He said
“This is a matter of threat and we do not want to say anything at the moment. She had been getting a lot of threats and the truth is that she is not even in Nigeria at the moment and she is safe. We will not want to answer whether she is in Canada for now but she is not in the country and she is safe.

He continued, “I cannot tell you if DJ Switch testified at a Canadian parliament, but if you see that the Canadian parliament posted it, then she probably did it. I know that she has not posted anything and I remember that my boss told her not to post anything; but in due time, she will speak out.
“She received death threats from every angle; so, she just had to leave. I am just going to say this because of her safety, we just have to keep things quiet low.”
Mr Abi also mentioned that his boss Peter Okoye has also received death threat.
She said in a social media post thanking all that helped in one way or the other including Peter Okoye,
“I want to thank a few people who, at the risk of their lives, came to get me. My life was being threatened for speaking up.”
