There was complete chaos in a village in Awka, Anambra when a Baboon escaped from its cage.
The Baboon chased people around and attacked a 13-year-old girl, causing injury to her leg.
Anambra State Police PublicRelations Officer, Mohammed Haruna stated that the police station received a report about the incident at 8 am.

The report states that the baboon was an escapee from the Center of Psychic and Healing Administration and was under the supervision of Mrs. Flora Ilonzo of Agu-Awka.
The victim was taken to the hospital after the attack and the injuries were cleaned and stitched before she was discharged.
A statement was also gotten from the owner of the baboon and she has been granted bail.
The victim’s father made a statement about the incident and investigations are still ongoing.
The wild monkey, on the other hand, has been taken to a more secure cage.
The command will collaborate with government agencies to ensure that more secure cages are provided for such animals.
