Yes, I’m expecting baby number two from new baby mama – Davido confirms
After news made the rounds that renowned Nigerian music star, born David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido seems to be expecting another child, the singer has confirmed it.
Davido, following the development that he would soon become a second-time dad, joins the growing list of Nigerian musicians who have two or more babymamas.
The list already included 2face, 9ice and Wizkid.
Earlier in the week, reports had it that his girlfriend, Amanda, who is based in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States, US, was about 7 months pregnant.
Davido expecting second child with rumored ‘new’ baby mama
From all indications, if Amanda is 7 months gone, it means the baby is expected to arrive in April or May.
Recall that the pop star’s daughter, Imade, who the ‘Skelewu’ singer welcomed with Ovation publisher, Dele Momodu’s cousin, Sophie Momodu in 2015, would turn 2 on May 14, 2017.
Imade’s birth sprung up a lot of controversies when Davido initially denied responsibility for Sophie’s pregnancy.
Their relationship headed for the rocks, leading to a public rant involving both families.
All these notwithstanding, the 24-year-old singer confirmed the news of his expecting a new baby in an Instagram interview with Beat FM on-air-personality, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, on Friday night in Lagos.
When Gbemi asked him if the rumour was true, the father-of-one confirmed that he was indeed expecting another child.
