Popular Nigerian radio personality, Toke Makinwa has revealed how her parents joked about their death, which according to her, came to pass. The television host, vlogger, and bestselling author, known for co-hosting ‘The Morning Drive’ on Rhythm 93.7 FM and her YouTube vlog series Toke Moments, made this known in a series of tweets. Toke Makinwa reveals.

Toke’s parents, Caleb Ifemayowa and Modupe Monica Makinwa were 35 and 34 years old respectively, when they died.

“I remember she changed her hairstyle one time and he walked in and the first thing he noticed was her hair was different. I still remember.

“They joked about dying together, perfect ride/die and it happened. They were buried side by side.”

Recall that in her book entitled ‘On Becoming’, the On Air Personality, OAP, had revealed how a gas cylinder leaked and led to the fire incident that killed her parents when she was just 8-years-old.

She further added that the kind of love she was looking for doesn’t exist, jokingly said she’ll have to sue the ‘romantic books and movies’ that she read/watched while growing up.
