I smoke ‘weed’ because God did in Psalm 18: 7-8 – Rastafarian, Ekow Micah says

Popular Ghanaian Rastafarian and music artist, Ekow Micah has reacted after another Ghanaian artist, Samini, called for the legalisation of Marijuana last week, hinting that its sale will help boost the Ghanaian economy. Rastafarian, Ekow Micah says.

Ekow while on a radio interview, used the Bible to back-up and support his smoking lifestyle. He stirred a scriptural war between the Christians and Rastafarians, stating that God also smoked, therefore the act should be considered as a calling rather than a crime.

Rastafarian, Ekow Micah says

Rastafarian, Ekow Micah saysSpeaking to Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review, Ekow quoted Psalm 18:7-8 as proof that God smoked.

The bible verse reads:

“The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it.”

The musician, who was recently arrested and acquitted for possessing the illegal drug, indicated that just like “Wee” is food for Rastafarians, and some prefer alcohol “akpeteshie”, for him, he prefers “wee” just like how some people enjoy Cocoyam leaves (Kontomire).

Over time, people have asked, ‘What is Marijuana?’

Rastafarian, Ekow Micah saysIt is one of the most abused drugs in the world. There is an ever-growing gap between the latest science about marijuana and the myths surrounding it. Some people think that since it is legal in some places, it must be safe. But your body doesn’t know a legal drug from an illegal drug, it only knows the effect the drug creates once you have taken it.

Marijuana, when sold, is a mixture of dried out leaves, stems, flowers and seeds of the hemp plant. It is usually green, brown or gray in color.
