A 47-year-old pastor (name withheld) who allegedly raped and impregnated a 13-year-old girl, has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command. The pastor, according to reports, lured the teenager into his apartment and forcefully slept with her, unfortunately, the alleged rape soon turned to pregnancy. Following his arrest, he admitted to the crime, saying: “She came to collect needle and thread; in that process, I had canal knowledge of her and since then I never had anything to do with her again; only to hear last month, May, that she’s pregnant for me,” the pastor added.

On her part, the teenage girl, however, accused the pastor of raping her and also threatening she would die if she told anyone.

She said, “This pastor is our neighbour, we live together. So I went to his house to take our needle and thread that his wife’s sister borrowed from us. When I knocked, he said I should come in and I did. Before I knew, he grabbed me, held my mouth, tore my pant then raped me. He then told me that if I tell anyone, I will die.”

Speaking further, she recalled, “He closed my mouth and raped me in 2016…”
