Funke Akindele’s blockbuster movie, Omo Ghetto has grossed 500 million Naira in the box office.
The movie becomes the first Nollywood movie to cross the mark.
The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria announced that the movie became the highest-grossing in the country by surpassing Kemi Adetiba’s “Wedding Party”.
The board revealed last week, that it grossed N468,036,300 after holding the number one spot 3 weeks in a row.

Today, CEAN announced that the Funke Akindele movie had broken Nollywood’s box office record with a revenue of N501,449,050.
Omo Ghetto is a sequel to the trilogy of the same name.
It follows the life of Lefty who is torn between choosing a life of wealth with her adopted mother or returning to the ghetto lifestyle.
Some of the stars in the movie include Funke Akindele, Chioma Akpotha, and Eniola Badmus.
