Nigerians really have no chill and the way we take issues in this country, is really hilarious. Any small thing, we don turn am to joke. So the one that struck me a while ago was reactions to the news that the world would end today, September 23, 2017. Nigerians react to claim the world will end today September 23rd.
Naija.fm had reported yesterday that a Christian numerologist, identified as David Meade predicted the mysterious planet ‘Nibiru’ will ‘destroy Earth’ in a fiery collision on Saturday 23 September, 2017. According to his claims which are based on verses in the Bible, the timing of last month’s solar eclipse, and ‘clues’ he says are written on the pyramids, he believes his prediction is intact.

He quoted verses from Luke 21: 25 to 26.
“25: There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
“26: Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”
A series of YouTube videos also claim the end of days was yesterday, citing a combination of numerology and Biblical interpretations. The prediction left a lot of people scared (Nigerians inclusive), many indecisive, a lot of people refused to sleep while lots of people were even making jokes out of it and here we are all still bobbing and living! A funny Nigerian asked this morning on Facebook: “Please, is this heaven or hell. Is this Jupiter?” Here’s how Nigerians reacted including a guy who joked that he would rape his cousin because he was not ready to die a virgin. LOL. See reactions below…
