Nigerian prison worker arrested in US for sexually assaulting female inmate
Security operatives in the State of Maryland, United States of America, USA, have arrested a 41-year-old Nigerian, identified as Mr Olukunle Oyekanmi, for sexual assault. The Nigerian national, who is a correctional officer, was charged with sexual assault of an female inmate while on duty at the Clarksburg correctional facility on Tuesday. Following his arrest, Oyekanmi reportedly admitted to sexually assaulting the inmate during an interview with detectives. According to revelations by video surveillance, the 41-year-old suspect entered the victim’s cell at about 6:20 a.m., when the victim said the sexual assault occurred, according to detectives.

Physically patrol and visually inspect units, yards, buildings, prisoners, prisoner property and clothing, etc, to ensure the welfare, safety and security…but instead of carrying out his duties, the Nigerian man did otherwise.
Oyekanmi was charged with second-degree sex offense, second-degree assault, sexual contact with an inmate, and malfeasance in office but he was released after posting $20,000 bond.
