A Delta State indigene, identified only as Efe, has been arrested by the Ughelli Police Area Command for allegedly murdering and burying a prostitute he had spent the night with at his Ughelli apartment. Man kills, buries prostitute.
The deceased, whose name is still unknown, was said to have died mysteriously while they were together, Vanguard learnt.

According to reports, the suspect was arrested following security information from a concerned resident who saw the suspect burying the victim in the early hours of the night.
A staff at the hotel who simply gave his name as Victor, was quoted to have said: “He had solicited for the services of the girl from a brothel, where they had earlier engaged in high use of hard drugs and alcohol before taking her to his house for the night.
Speaking further, the source said;

“Efe took her to his house located at Okorodafe Street. At the house, the victim was said to have died and for reasons best known to him (Efe), he went to bury her but someone who saw him during the act, reported him to the police who arrested him the next day.”

A senior officer at the Ughelli Area Command who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident. According to him, the suspect claimed that the victim was his girlfriend and has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for further investigation.
The police source added that the suspect, if found guilty, will be charged to court on completion of investigations.
