Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe’s estranged husband, Lanre Gentry, has shared a regret post on his Instagram page. It seems like the dust raised by the domestic violence saga between the duo is yet to settle. As Aigbe left the shores of Nigeria to the UK for an appointment with a surgeon, her embattled hotelier husband said on his post that he does not regret his past but it’s a whole different ball game when it comes to the people in it. Their seven-year-old marriage crashed after photos of Mercy’s battered face went viral on the Internet. She accused her husband of physical assault which has been going on for quite a long time and which affected her sight and caused her to bleed internally from the physical abuse allegedly melted down to her on Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Gentry was arrested and arraigned before an Ogba Magistrate court on a three count charge offence bordering on breach of public peace, assault and causing grievous bodily harm on his wife. He was subsequently remanded in Kirikiri prison custody after failing to meet his bail conditions.
Following the harm on her, Aigbe, who still has a lot of physical and emotional healing to do is currently in the UK for further treatments. Aigbe shared the photos with the caption, “In the UK to see an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. But her embattled husband’s new post on Instagram may have been directed to her, although, he did not say specifically who he was referring to…Gentry shared a meme which reads, “I don’t regret my past! I just regret the time I have spent with the wrong people.” Well, we can guess who he is referring to.
Seems like he does not feel any remorse? Just recently, he shared the photo of another lady and captioned it ‘Temi My Love’.
Good riddance. Wishing Aigbe a quick recovery though.
