Popular Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, has said he does not mind going out with a woman who has more money but he would make sure he has his own money as well. He added that he wouldn’t want a situation where he would be financially dependent on his woman, because according to him, they tend to be disrespectful when they are richer. The ‘Forbidden Fruit’ actor made this known on GTV program dubbed ‘What Men Like’, and the conversation was centered on whether men like dating ladies who are financially well off.

While outlining the kind of woman he would love to settle for, the actor said, “I just want a woman who is OK but the potential is there to be rich, for us to be rich together. She’s ambitious, she’s a go getter, she’s entrepreneurial. We can get the money together.”
He added that if he had to date a woman like that, he would just have to make sure not to depend on her financially.
“I don’t mind going out with a woman who has more money than I do but I would make sure I have my own money as well. I wouldn’t want a case where I depend on the woman financially,” Dumelo added.
Ghana’s super actor is also one of Nigeria’s favourite thespians. Handsome and gracious, Dumelo has become one of the most sought-after male actors in both Nollywood and Ghollywood. He started acting at age seven and has been featured in prime movies in both industry but most fans have wondered why he is still unmarried.

In a chat with newsmen recently, the actor talked about why he is still single, saying: ”
I have heard people talk about the beauty of marriage, I have seen a lot of people getting into marriage early, and divorcing early and I think people just love the idea of marriage but don’t know how to stay in marriage. They like the idea of love, but don’t have the idea of how to stay in love or be in love.
“Since I have some following, I decided to put what I have heard and seen in writing. It is to advise people not go into marriage in a hurry, or marry because your friends or cousins are getting married or because you want to have beautiful wedding pictures.
“Marriage is making it work and that is what is failing a lot of marriages these days.
These reasons are also why I am taking my time before getting married. I have plans of getting married soon..” the actor stated.
