Top Nigerian comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, has apologised to Nigerians for posting a false claim that veteran comedian, Moses Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala was dead. Gbenga Adeyinka apologises.
Recall that Adeyinka, who runs a television show and publishes a comedy magazine, called Laffmattaz, earlier yesterday shared a photo of the aged veteran comedian and wrote;

“AN ICON IS GONE.. WE LOST HIM What a Great Loss !!! THE ACE COMEDIAN

But the multi-talented comedian, man who has bagged over 40 awards and recognitions, has issued an apology on his Instagram page where he had earlier made the untrue claim.

“Good evening please DISREGARD the news of Baba Sala’s demise. The source has since recanted. So sorry for the misinformation. Feeling very stupid that I just took his word for it. Sorry again,” he added.

His apology comes after one of Baba Sala’s sons, Emmanuel Adejumo, dismissed the story as false.
He said “It is not true that Baba is dead. He is alive and he doesn’t even have a stroke. I don’t know where those peddling the death rumour got it from.”
