Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, Death rumour, shot dead. To further debunk his death rumour, popular Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie has released some photos and shared a video clip of Nigerian rapper, Runtown’s concert, he graced.

Recall that the news of his death was published by a South African blog.

The blog had alleged that the hip hop recording artist and entrepreneur from Tema in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, born Michael Owusu Addo, was shot dead at a nightclub ‘The Movida Night Club’ by unknown persons.

The unconfirmed news stirred up controversies and mixed reactions on social media, with many asking for a confirmation from the rapper’s management.

While we await an official statement from his management, Sarkodie’s social media pages have constantly been updated since the story of his death surfaced.

Although, the posts did not expressly shut down the news, they reposted a fan‘s note, and also sent out birthday shoutout to an associate, putting the hearts of many fans at rest.

However many fans are still waiting for the rapper to address the story.

In an indirect response to the death rumour though, the 28-year-old award winning rapper posted a video.

Meanwhile, Sarkodie, alongside Nigeria’s Wizkid, Tekno, Funke Akindele and more have been nominated for Ghana-Naija Showbiz Awards 2017

The first edition of Ghana-Naija Showbiz Awards will take place in Lagos on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

Let’s give you a little hint on Sarkodie. He won the Best International Act: Africa category at the 2012 BET Awards, and was nominated in the same category at the 2014 BET Awards.

In 2015, Sarkodie was ranked the 19th most Influential Ghanaian by e.tv Ghana and he is considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance.

Sarkodie is often named as one of Africa’s greatest hip hop artists.

MTV Base ranked him 6th on its list of the Hottest African MC’s in 2014.

In 2013, Lynx TV ranked him 1st on its list of the Top 10 Ghanaian Rappers of All Time…
